Huawei and GAC AION Thailand Join Forces to Advance a Smart EnergyEcosystem by Connecting the new GAC GN8 MPV with Residential Solar Energy

Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and GAC AION (Thailand) Co., Ltd. have entered into a strategic collaboration to accelerate the adoption of renewable energy and electric mobility through the “GAC Retail Collaboration x Huawei Solar Roof” initiative. As part of the collaboration, customers who purchase the new GAC GN8 PHEV premium MPV will receive either a complimentary Huawei FusionSolar 3 kW single-phase residential solar system, including installation, or a THB 100,000 discount when upgrading to a higher-value Huawei FusionSolar package.* The solution enables homeowners to generate electricity from solar energy to power their homes and charge their new energy vehicles more efficiently, helping reduce long-term energy costs while supporting the transition to a smarter and more sustainable home energy lifestyle. In addition, customers may claim the cost of installing the solar system as a personal income tax deduction, subject to the terms and conditions prescribed by the Thai government.

This partnership reflects the shared vision of both companies to accelerate the energy transition by integrating New Energy Vehicle (NEV) with intelligent solar energy solutions. Together, they aim to build a Smart Energy Ecosystem that seamlessly connects energy generation, storage, and consumption within a single platform, enabling consumers to maximize the use of renewable energy, reduce reliance on the grid, and contribute to lower greenhouse gas emissions over the long term.

Mr. Jack Zeng, President of Digital Power Business Department, Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd., said, “Huawei believes the future of energy lies in the intelligent integration of power generation, energy storage, and energy consumption. Our collaboration with GAC AION Thailand reflects our shared vision of connecting residential solar energy with electric mobility, empowering consumers to generate, store, and use clean energy within a fully integrated ecosystem. Customers will not only enjoy a greener driving experience but also reduce their long-term energy costs. At the same time, they have the flexibility to expand their solar systems or add energy storage solutions in the future as their energy needs evolve. This collaboration aligns with Huawei’s mission to integrate digital and power electronics technologies to accelerate the energy transition and build a more sustainable future.”

Mr. Louis Liu, Executive Vice President of AION Automobile Sales (Thailand) Co., Ltd., said, “At GAC AION Thailand, we are committed to developing environmentally friendly mobility solutions while building a comprehensive new energy vehicle and clean energy ecosystem for consumers. Our collaboration with Huawei FusionSolar marks another important milestone in integrating solar energy, energy storage, and EV charging solutions to enhance the electric vehicle ownership experience. Together, we aim to enable consumers to power their EVs with clean energy generated at home, reduce energy costs, and contribute to Thailand’s transition toward a sustainable low-carbon society.”

The Huawei FusionSolar 3 kW system included in this campaign is an ideal solution for homeowners looking to begin their residential solar journey. It features industry-leading efficiency, safety, and reliability, while offering the flexibility to expand the system in the future as energy needs grow. For customers with higher electricity consumption, the complimentary package can be upgraded by redeeming a special discount of up to THB 100,000* toward a larger Huawei FusionSolar system or the installation of a Huawei LUNA S1 battery. The battery stores excess solar energy generated during the day for use at night or during periods of low sunlight, helping increase self-consumption of clean energy, reduce electricity costs, and provide reliable power for greater energy security throughout the day. In addition, customers may claim the cost of installing the solar system as a personal income tax deduction, subject to the terms and conditions specified by the Thai government. This further enhances the long-term value and return on investment of adopting clean energy.

Huawei FusionSolar is also designed to integrate seamlessly with electric vehicles (EVs), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), and EV chargers, enabling homeowners to charge their vehicles using clean, self-generated solar energy. Through the Huawei FusionSolar App, users can intelligently monitor and manage household energy consumption, helping optimize energy efficiency, maximize the use of solar power, and deliver greater long-term value.

The collaboration between Huawei and GAC AION Thailand reinforces their shared commitment to accelerating Thailand’s transition toward clean energy. By combining electric vehicles with residential solar energy solutions, the partnership enables consumers to embrace sustainable transportation and renewable energy in a practical and accessible way, reflecting both companies’ shared vision of building a future powered by clean energy, intelligent technologies, and sustainable living.
